During this year’s Stone Soup we were able to meet our fundraising goal, raising nearly $30,000. Thank you, thank you, thank you to our volunteers, supporters and the hundreds of Winnipeggers who came down to MB Hydro Place to make a donation and try some great soups.
A big congratulations is also owed to our two Silver Ladle soup award winners:
- Fern Kirouac, chef at Inferno’s Bistro, winner of the People’s Choice Silver Ladle for his delightful Chicken Ragu with Cashew Kale Chips.
- Jess Young, chef at Buffalo Stone Café, winner of the Judges’ Choice Silver Ladle for her satisfying Solyanka Hearty with Smoked Meat.
If you missed Stone Soup this year, take a look at some fun event coverage including entries from CBC, The Winnipeg Foundation, the Winnipeg Free Press, and GlobalNews. Some of our own photos, provided by Julie Fulsher photography, are included below. Take a look and enjoy!
