Funders

The Child Nutrition Council of Manitoba depends on your generous support to ensure the students of Manitoba have the necessary resources to grow, to learn, and to succeed. Our nutrition program grants provide funds directly to schools and/or communities to start or improve child nutrition programs.

The Council is grateful that the Province of Manitoba, the Winnipeg Foundation through the Moffat Family Fund, and corporate/individual donors have recognized the Council as a valuable partner in meeting the nutrition needs of students through the school day. We would like to express our appreciation to those who share our concern for nourishing the bodies and minds of Manitoba students and are contributing to making a significant difference in their health, well-being, and success at school.

“Thank-you very much for the ongoing support of our program.  It makes a difference in the lives of many families in our school community.  With your continued support we will continue to build on our successes.”
— Arthur E. Wright Community School

Partners

Partnerships with other organizations and agencies give us continued opportunities to collaborate in a broader way. The Council works in partnership with the Dietitians of Canada, the Dairy Farmers of Manitoba, and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living, as part of Manitoba Healthy Food in Schools, to assist schools in developing optimal healthy nutrition environments for students and staff. In supporting the implementation of provincial nutrition guidelines and healthy eating initiatives, the Team has delivered interactive workshops for divisions, schools, school health teams, students, parents, and health professionals.
