The Child Nutrition Council of Manitoba is looking for volunteer Board members to join our Board of Directors. The Council meets eight to ten times per year between September and June, usually for two-hour sessions. The Board provides governance, strategic direction and fundraising for this registered charity which oversees funding allocation and resourcing to school breakfast, snack and lunch programs throughout Manitoba. Some experience on a Board of Directors for a non-profit organization is beneficial but not necessary. Individuals who have skills in marketing, communications, accounting or fundraising are encouraged to apply. In addition to attendance at scheduled meetings, as ambassadors for the organization, Board members are expected to be available for assisting with sub-committee work and special events to increase community awareness and support of the Council. Submit your letter of interest with a resumé to the Board Chair at by Friday, May 18, 2018. We thank you for your interest.
